About The Position

The Quality Assurance Specialist (Aircraft) position within the Department of Defense (DCMA AIMO) is responsible for providing senior technical assistance and guidance in quality control operations. This role involves developing procedural guidelines, assessing adherence to quality strategies, and providing training to team members. The specialist will investigate quality issues and implement improvements to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in quality assurance or related fields.
• Experience applying principles and methodologies related to quality assurance functional programs.
• Ability to establish process measurement points and apply statistical techniques for quality improvement.
• Experience in investigating defective materials and implementing process improvements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the Department of Defense quality assurance processes.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and control methods.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Contract Management Office (CMO) focal point for quality control issues.
• Provide technical interpretation and implementation of quality assurance procedures.
• Develop procedural guidelines and assess the need for changes to existing procedures.
• Investigate defective materials and initiate corrective actions with contractors.
• Provide on-the-job training and refresher courses for quality assurance personnel.
