About The Position
The Quality Assurance Receiving Technician is responsible for the inspection and sampling of all incoming raw products, ingredients, and packaging materials, ensuring that they conform to established specifications and standards. This role includes the inspection and evaluation of product returns, which may arise from customer complaints or incorrect shipments. The technician will sample incoming materials based on predetermined plans and evaluate these samples against Thrive | Mercer Foods' specifications. Additionally, the technician will issue inspection reports for incoming materials and non-conformance reports for those that do not meet specifications, ensuring proper filing of all reports. Communication of non-conformances to upper management is essential, as is the control and maintenance of the QA Sample storage and library. The technician will also review supplier certificates of analysis (COAs) for conformance and serve as a backup for QA Auditors, along with performing other assigned duties.
