About The Position

A Quality Assurance/R&D Supervisor is needed to perform a wide range of duties from compliance, department administration, process improvement leadership, and overseeing the quality of Production and Product Development. This position will also require you to be part of the SQF and HACCP Teams.

Requirements

  • Must have 2-5 years of SQF and Quality Experience to be considered for this role
  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a similar discipline. Other degrees will be considered based on the candidate's demonstrated knowledge and job experience related to food safety compliance programs.
  • 5 to 7 years of related experience within a regulated food, beverage, or pharmaceutical facility and/or distribution environment with at least two years of direct Supervisor experience is required
  • Relevant experience with GFSI standards and domestic food safety systems including but not limited to FSMA.
  • Relevant certifications: HACCP, SQF Practitioner, Internal Auditor, Preventive Controls of Human Food
  • Able to lead a small team with a focus on Leadership and Process Improvement.
  • Food Safety: 3 to 5 years preferred.
  • SQF Practitioner and SQF Audit
  • Must be able to work full-time in-person in Huntingdon Valley, PA
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership to a small team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear expectations, provide guidance and support, and empower team members to achieve their goals.
  • Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance overall operations and reduce waste.
  • Oversee the quality control process for both production and product development. This involves conducting regular inspections, audits, and tests to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Actively participate in SQF and HACCP teams, contributing expertise and insights to ensure the company's food safety and quality objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any issues or concerns related to food safety and quality.
  • Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
