About The Position

Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector to support a government contract based in El Paso, TX. POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Assurance Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Inspector monitors, evaluates and executes audits of assigned operations to ensure compliance with customer QEHS policies, processes and procedures. Ensures the collection of QEHS data and analyses of that data to identify trends and monitor the effectiveness of the QEHS programs Plans the Monthly Inspection and Evaluation Schedule and publishes the plan on a quarterly basis. Performs internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established and applicable environmental, health and safety rules and governmental regulations. Conducts quality and safety inspections/audits of contract operations and subcontractors to ensure compliance with customer policies, procedures, standards and regulations. Coordinates EHS incident/accident investigations and prepares unsatisfactory reports, quality trend analysis reports, quality evaluation records, and other QEHS records as required by the contract or Program Office. Provide staff expertise for review of proposed environmental laws and regulations and assessment of impact to company operations. Reviews in-process and final Quality inspections of all maintenance actions, which involve Environmental, Health & Safety. Provide training to personnel in theatre on QEHS topics or as directed by program QEHS Management. Review incoming technical publications and directives for applicability. Verify that all personnel in theater are properly certified and/or trained to perform their assigned duties, in accordance with US and Host National Laws, Regulations and Standards and the Statement of Work. Perform other qualified duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in any combination in the following areas: Quality Assurance, Environmental, Health, Safety operations.
  • OSHA 30 Certificate in General Safety or Construction Safety.
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certificate is required and must be current.
  • QEHS experience in a maintenance, services, or military organization.
  • Knowledge of quality control plans and quality management practices and processes to carry out performance requirements and ensure contractual requirements are met.
  • Working knowledge and experience implementing Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety programs.
  • Working knowledge of military quality practices.
  • Fluent in English, both speaking and writing.
  • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (or latest version) Quality Management System requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 (or latest version) Occupational health and safety management.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
  • Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and certifications in either waste water treatment or water treatment is desirable.
  • ISO 9001: 2015 or ISO 45001:2015 Internal Auditor certifications preferred.
