We are offering this hybrid role based in Minneapolis, MN as a 1‑year contract. You will oversee quality compliance for high‑value projects—often exceeding $100M—and act as a subject matter expert across multiple project teams. Reporting directly to the hiring manager, you will help ensure vendor performance, construction quality, and adherence to technical standards across power generation and renewable portfolios.

Requirements

  • A project manager or quality assurance professional with 10+ years of experience supporting large capital or industrial construction projects.
  • Experienced in renewable energy, power generation, and combustion turbine project quality oversight.
  • Experience with vendor oversight, shop inspections, and managing QA processes for complex engineering deliverables.
  • Detail‑oriented, analytical, and committed to maintaining the highest quality standards across every phase of project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage quality assurance activities for major capital projects, including renewables, power plant upgrades, and infrastructure expansion.
  • Conduct vendor surveillance, shop inspections, and quality audits to ensure materials and equipment meet all specifications.
  • Oversee quality compliance on projects exceeding $100M, ensuring understanding of engineering requirements and industry regulations.
  • Be the quality SME, advising project teams, engineering, and construction partners on best practices.
  • Review and validate contractor quality plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and corrective action processes.
  • Support field teams by identifying quality risks, resolving issues, and ensuring documentation.
  • Collaborate using standard tools, reporting, and documentation and remote project collaboration systems.
