About The Position

Bay Cove Human Services’ mission is to partner with people to overcome challenges and realize personal potential. Bay Cove pursues this mission by providing individualized and compassionate services to people facing the challenges associated with developmental disabilities, mental illness, substance use disorders, and homelessness at more than 175 program sites throughout Greater Boston and Southeastern Massachusetts. Department: Developmental Services Reports To: Quality Assurance Director Mission Statement: Bay Cove Human Services partners with people to overcome challenges and realize personal potential. Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Program Manager provides varied training and support within Day Services, training and support to the programs in Developmental Services. The Quality Assurance PM contributes to Bay Cove’s mission by monitoring designated quality assurance functions to promote accuracy and effectiveness, while maximizing efficiency. This is an exempt position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field and at least two years of experience in the administration of programs serving adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of current practice standards in long term support service delivery system.
  • Demonstrated professional writing, interpersonal, communication, oral presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet preparation.
  • Maintain current certifications in: Medication Administration, Standard First Aid, CPR and Mandt.
  • Valid Driver's license preferred.
  • Use of personal cell phone

Responsibilities

  • Assists in monitoring designated quality assurance functions including DDS, MassHealth, ABI and MRC standards, CARF, Bay Cove standards and performance improvement measures, program review, paper and electronic documentation systems, incident reports, medication occurrence reports, human rights complaints, HCSIS ISP reminders, etc.
  • Assists with completion of proposals and policies.
  • Promotes improved communication within the programs and between the division and programs through the design and standardization of communication systems.
  • Promotes standardization of systems and provides training and technical assistance, as needed.
  • Assists with CARF accreditation and DDS Licensing & Certification, Mass Health, and Optum reviews, and assists with other external reviews, as needed.
  • Assists, as needed, with new program start up.
  • Participates in internal and external committees, as determined by the Operations Director.
  • Provides support and training to Day Services Program Staff.
  • Works in collaboration and oversite with Director of Day Services and Day SPD’s
  • All other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Director or Operations Director.
