About The Position

The QA Mix Technician blends batch Syrup for the different product flavors of carbonated and non-carbonated beverages while monitoring and maintaining mix room sanitation, housekeeping, and personal hygiene in accordance with using Good Manufacturing Practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience required.
  • Prior experience in food or beverage production or quality preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills preferred.
  • Prior experience using a forklift or order picker preferred. Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire is required.
  • Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading documents)
  • Speaking: Constantly (investigates, negotiates, recommends, reports, etc.)
  • Typing/texting: Frequently using a keyboard/phone for day-to-day business (email, reports, instant messaging)
  • Mobility: Occasionally travel throughout the office environment or customer locations (go to meetings, restrooms, greeting visitors, meeting with customers)
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitive
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Blend syrup batches for multiple flavors, including Carbonated and Non-Carbonated Beverages.
  • Inventory and control raw goods needed to build syrup batches in accordance with the production schedule. Ensuring proper rotation of ingredients by date code.
  • Ensure Material and Product Integrity and follow procedures for identification, isolation, and disposition of nonconformity when a quality hold exists. And ensure communication cross-functionally.
  • Verification, calibration, and maintenance of syrup room equipment to ensure accurate results, cleaning and sanitizing syrup tanks, equipment, and work area.
  • Uses forklift and other power industrial trucks to move raw materials.
  • Troubleshoots system equipment and process issues.
  • Participates in all programs related to work, food, and environmental safety.
  • Monitors and executes Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety.
  • Use of basic math skills in measuring and counting inventory.
