About The Position

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for implementing the Air Combat Training System (ACTS) Quality Control Plan (QCP), developing quality control metrics/checklists, data collection, conducting analysis and auditing each site within ACTS. The Quality Control Manager will work closely with the Program Manager, Site Manager & Contract Office Representative (COR) to ensure best practices are followed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of relevant QC experience within an Air Force range contract.
  • Ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Ability to be detail oriented, organized, and proactively follow-up as needed.
  • Effective oral and technical written communication skills to effectively and clearly communicate information to others as well as to present information in front of a group.
  • Ability to actively listen, with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic working knowledge and application of Microsoft business software
  • Ability to understand and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

  • Ability to learn and understand the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Must be able to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
  • Must have current valid driver’s license and clean driving record and be qualified to operate a vehicle.
  • Ability to pass a drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous electronics technician training or ATC certification preferred.
  • LSSGB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and administer the project Quality Control Plan in coordination with Corporate QC.
  • Enforce project Quality Control Plan and associated standards.
  • Perform monthly inspection of all assigned ACTS work centers
  • Maintain detailed reports.
  • Conduct safety briefings to employees.
  • Chair monthly QC briefings to senior management, COR, and customers.
  • Manage, schedule, review, and certify all submittals for client review and approval.
  • Perform all necessary project inspections needed for compliance with the QC P .
  • Conduct periodic follow - up inspections to verify work is proceeding in accordance with the PWS and corrective action plans.
  • Stop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality and/or inhibit the logical progress of work.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Temporarily stand-in as site management in cases where site manager is not available.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
