ROLE SNAPSHOT — Location/Schedule: Remote or On-site, Full-Time Purpose: Lead and strengthen the Quality Management System while ensuring product excellence across the full lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of quality experience in dietary supplements, food/beverage, pharma, or another regulated industry.
  • 2–3 years of leadership or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP and FDA/FTC regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with supplier qualification, audits, and quality system management.
  • Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis, CAPA management, and documentation control.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a scientific or technical field.
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE).
  • Experience with new product introduction and lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality frameworks.
  • Experience working with international suppliers or global manufacturing partners.
  • Experience using digital QMS platforms or ERP-based quality modules.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System, including controlled documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards across all product categories.
  • Lead internal audits and support third-party or regulatory inspections.
  • Oversee supplier and contract manufacturer qualification, audits, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Approve raw material specifications, finished product testing requirements, and release documentation.
  • Manage complaint investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective and preventive actions.
  • Supervise and develop QA team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Track and report quality metrics and trends to senior leadership.
