The Quality Assurance Manager is a pivotal role within our HVAC construction company, responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of quality assurance programs and processes. This position ensures that all products and services not only meet but exceed customer expectations, adhere to industry standards, and comply with regulatory requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager will work closely with various departments to identify areas needing improvement, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives. A key aspect of this role involves obtaining approvals for materials such as paneling, plumbing, ducting, and electrical components, while also maintaining effective communication with the architectural design office. In this role, the Quality Assurance Manager will develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance policies, procedures, and guidelines that ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and benchmarks will be essential to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance programs and processes. Regular audits, inspections, and reviews of construction projects, materials, and processes will be conducted to identify quality deficiencies and areas for improvement. Collaboration is crucial in this position; the Quality Assurance Manager will work alongside project managers, engineers, and construction teams to create quality control plans, inspection checklists, and testing protocols specifically for HVAC systems and components. Training and support will be provided to employees on quality assurance principles and practices, ensuring that all team members are aware of and adhere to established quality standards and procedures. The role also involves monitoring and analyzing data from quality audits, inspections, and customer feedback to identify trends and root causes of quality issues, facilitating preventive actions. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Manager will investigate customer complaints, warranty claims, and product returns, coordinating corrective and preventive actions to address underlying quality issues. Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors is essential to ensure the quality and reliability of materials and equipment procured for construction projects. The Quality Assurance Manager will also communicate quality performance, improvement initiatives, and best practices to management, employees, customers, and other stakeholders through regular reports, presentations, and meetings.
