About The Position
The Program Manager of Quality Assurance oversees all aspects of audit functions, compliance, reporting, corrective actions, and quality improvement for DHS' Social Services Administration programs and operations. Responsibilities cover a wide range including 24 Local Departments of Social Services and headquarters' Operational Divisions, ensuring compliance with various federal and state legislations. As the QA Manager within SSA, the incumbent analyzes audit findings, coordinates responses, develops Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), and monitors audit compliance for external audits. Managing SSA's response to audit findings and CAPs is crucial for maintaining federal funding for foster care and preventive services. The role involves working with SSA leadership and Local Departments of Social Services to analyze risks, develop strategies, and improve audit compliance for responsible fiscal management.
