About The Position

Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Lab Technician measures start-up and shutdown rounds, performs internal audits and tests according to customer/stock specifications. Will support the entire production facility as needed and necessary.

Responsibilities

• Implement policies and procedures of the Quality Assurance Department for continuous improvement.
• Conduct both qualitative and quantitative functions for incoming manufactured material inspections.
• Perform internal audits.
• Test finished product.
• Conduct dimensional measurement of molded items.
• Control documentation according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Compile and summarize data for analysis.
• Create, review and approve paperwork in accordance to quality checks/inspections per the Control Plan.
• Implement customer required quality requirements by performing specified quality checks/inspections per the Control Plan.
• Use mechanical and electronic measuring and test equipment in daily activities.
• Collect data and complete the necessary forms/records as required.
• Actively communicate with coworkers regarding safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
• Follow work instructions as needed and may be asked to write, revise and train others to those instructions.
• Perform root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately or appropriate personnel need to be called.
• Maintain a 5S environment in work area.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies.
• May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
