About The Position

Headquartered in Cordova, TN, Stratas Foods is a 50/50 joint venture formed in October 2008 between ACH Food Companies and Archer Daniels Midland Company. Stratas Foods is built on the combined strengths and expertise of these two great parent companies, laid down over the course of over 200 years of combined experience. Stratas will continue to build on this foundation of excellence by providing value added, branded and custom formulated fats and oils solutions to the Food Service, Food Ingredient and Retail sectors. At Stratas Foods we are committed to being the most valued supplier of fats, oils, dressings, mayonnaise and salad dressings to the private label retail bottled oils market in the United States. Manufacturing facilities are located in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood, NJ; Hillside, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA. We strive to make Stratas Foods a great place to work and are building a team capable of meeting our business goals. Schedule: Monday-Friday (2:00pm-10:30pm) with some weekend work and OT. Analytical testing of various vegetable oils using Stratas SOPs. Testing of samples at various points in the process, production samples, inbound and outbound truck and railcar samples.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic data entry skills required

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years’ previous laboratory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Communicate to management when test results indicate that corrective action is necessary.
  • Prioritize samples as they arrive in laboratory.
  • Complete analytical testing and paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Enter all analysis into data base (TLC).
  • Learn new procedures as necessary.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of laboratory processes and procedures.
  • Attend all training and safety meetings as scheduled.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies.
  • Attend scheduled safety and GMP meetings.
  • Packaging line Quality Assurance.
  • Finished product and incoming material testing.
  • Storage of production retains.
  • Communication with supervisor/lead person/Lab Supervisor of laboratory results or quality concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.
