In this position, you will be supporting the Combat Mission Systems (CMS) Business at our York, PA facility. This position will be onsite. Relocation will be offered, but housing is not provided. The role will require work in a production environment, required PPE will be provided (Steel toed boots, safety glasses etc.). As a Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Intern, you will: Assist SQA with development of Receiving Inspection plans Review technical drawings and identify key characteristics that need to be included into the inspection plans for verification and acceptance of product received from our suppliers. Once characteristics have been defined data will be imported into a QA database (TIPQA) where additional attributes will be identified and finalized.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program pursuing a degree in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Tech (MET) or related fields
  • Ability to read technical drawing/blue prints, understanding of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances, and weld symbols
  • Knowledge of Quality, Inspection fundamentals
  • Proficient in use of computers, especially Microsoft Office
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Written & Verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently or remotely as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate courses in mathematics, systems management, measurements and business management are ideal
  • Junior or Senior status
  • Quick learning abilities for BAE Systems related software and databases
