Quality Assurance Inspector

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector in our Instrumentation Systems Division.

Responsibilities

• Verifies that received material meets the requirements specified on the purchase order, drawing(s), and/or specification
• Approves or rejects items and records inspection disposition information.
• Verifies that assembled printed circuit boards, cables, and mechanical assemblies are as specified on the drawing(s), parts lists, or specifications
• Reviews traveler, inspection record, missing material report and closing transfer for completeness and accuracy
• Verifies that assembly workmanship complies with approved workmanship standards and/or specifications
• Maintains files necessary to provide documents proof of assembly, inspection and test of completed assemblies
• Assists assembler and inspectors to identify components/hardware
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, specifications, and standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred
• Minimum one-year technical experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably including visual inspection
• Knowledge in IPC workmanship standards
• Familiarity with rulers, pin gauges, micrometers and calipers
• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal skills are required
• Ability to read/interpret assembly drawings, specifications, and standards
• Ability to recognize component marking and symbols
• Ability work with limited supervision
