About The Position

Westaff is looking for Quality Assurance Inspector in Portland, CT Pay: $20-25/hr based on experience Hours: Monday-Friday 1st Shift Hours Available We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to support our aerospace manufacturing operations. The QA Inspector will be responsible for inspecting precision aerospace components and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer requirements, and industry standards such as ISO/AS9100.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in quality inspection within aerospace or precision manufacturing. Willing to train suitable candidates
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
Experience with inspection tools and measurement techniques
Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems
Proficient with basic computer Microsoft applications and quality documentation systems
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections of aerospace parts and assemblies
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, etc.)
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
Identify nonconforming material and initiate corrective action reports
Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues
Support internal and external audits as required
Follow all safety, quality, and procedural guidelines
