About The Position

The Quality Assurance Inspector has the primary responsibility of testing and monitoring the quality and food safety of production lines, finished products, juice tankers, and apple processing, to ensure compliance with established Martinelli specifications and guidelines and will work with the department head and other department members to create SOPs, GMPs SSOPs policies and logs to help mitigate the potential risk of food safety and quality incidents.

Requirements

Experience in food manufacturing or agricultural goods processing.
Experience or ability to work in a lab environment and a production environment in an efficient and safe manner.
Ability to employ logic and reasoning skills while performing daily tasks and responsibilities.
Strong mathematical and science skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills – Outlook, Word, Excel
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with Company staff and others contacted in the course of work.
Ability to assume responsibility and exercise good judgment in making decisions within the scope of authority of the position.
Ability to readily adapt to changing priorities and take direction from more than one staff member.

Responsibilities

Tests, inspects, and compiles necessary quality test data at all stages of production and warehousing for all facilities to include incoming fruit, apple juice blend, ingredients, packaging components, filling, labeling, and finished goods assembly.
Conducts and logs daily, hourly, or more frequent quality checks, including brix, pH, NTU, cap torque, SST pressure, fill levels, labeling, date coding, vacuum, case integrity, and temperature checks.
Checks and documents pasteurization temperature charts. Checks proper function of specific quality-related line equipment such as dud detectors, fill level detectors, cap detectors, reject systems, vision systems, and air blow-off nozzles.
Collects and inspects hourly retain samples.
Receives inbound juice tankers, checks for proper documentation, obtains and tests tanker juice samples.
Monitors and ensures timely completion of electronic compliance data in Redzone and SAP QA systems.
Maintains all Quality Assurance documentation in an orderly system.
Issues daily report on activities.
Conducts and/or oversees component, raw material and finished good inspections as directed by the QA staff.
Makes appropriate quality/production decisions to ensure quality standards are adhered to at all times.
Alerts the Operations Team and Quality Team of any deviation from product specifications.
Monitors adherence to all food safety-related government regulations, including GMP and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
Reviews and monitors sanitation schedule.
Maintains all laboratory equipment and supplies in good, clean working condition.
Performs other quality lab tests as directed by Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Assurance Supervisor and Quality Assurance Technicians.
