Requirements

  • High School Degree or GED
  • 5 years job-related utility industry experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Electric Journeyman utility experience, 5 years
  • 4+ years engineering experience
  • Experience working in SAP CIRT/Gatekeeper screen - ZGATEKEEPER/ZTGATEKEEPER, ZNOTIF, ZNMTN.
  • Master knowledge and understanding of relevant federal, state, and local construction codes and standards, bulletins and guidance documents.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and to communicate effectively with employees and managers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Exchange, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the electric asset preventative maintenance tasks including patrol and inspection.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage projects.
  • Ability to train and mentor employees.

Responsibilities

  • Examine and review findings and data from asset inspection activities regarding alignment to safety, maintenance and compliance guidelines.
  • Identify trends in the findings of other personnel, prepare reports and recommendations, and validate determinations regarding which maintenance work needs to be completed.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME), providing oversight and guidance on more complex notification field scenarios.
  • Review completed inspection forms, attached pictures, maps and other information submitted from inspectors in company systems to analyze and evaluate the inspector's conclusions.
  • Return incomplete records to originator or Supervisor for correction and ensure all records and findings are maintained for potential future audits.
  • Direct internal inspection quality audit efforts, develop reports describing audit findings, observations, and trends, and present findings and make recommendations to management.
  • Develop job aids and guidance documents related to new or revised standards or work procedures, including providing training to Sr. Inspection Review Specialists and field inspectors.
  • Review, approve and release staging notifications, corrective notifications and orders submitted by inspectors, based on the priority of work tasks.
  • Assist in the review of notifications validated by new Specialists for accuracy and quality, train and mentor new employees, and assist others using established processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and lead the implementation of approved projects.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews, as applicable, based on the EC/LC field condition and/or any issues with the information provided from the originating inspector.
  • Assist Supervisor in evaluating metric results and outliers and provide back-up support for the Supervisor.
  • Travel required 15% of the time.
