About The Position

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Review quality schedules to ensure the manufacturing of product(s) meet customer expectations. Plan and review quality systems, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays. Assist in review of data obtained during quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures. Assist in developing new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities. Assist in informing management team of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation. Utilize the appropriate personnel based on skill sets. Evaluate, develop and ensure appropriate training processes are completed with Team Members. Trains team members on production, quality and safety procedures associated with QA. Ensure quality requirements and procedures for the area are understood and met. Provide assistance to Team Members in solving problems/concerns that affect their performance. Other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Assistant Manager/Manager.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent, or two (2) years related experience and high school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years leadership experience in manufacturing industry.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Proficient personal computer and system software skills. (Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Etc.)
  • Technical knowledge in product design functions, and manufacturing inspection processes. (Ability to understand part drawings, Datums, Outlines, Surfaces)
  • Leadership (team development, ability to influence).
  • People development (assessment of others, feedback/coaching, delegation, motivating others, performance management, communicating expectations).
  • Interpersonal skills (relationship building, teamwork, interpersonal thought, conflict resolution, customer orientation).
  • Communication (verbal communication, listening, written communication, on-the-job training).
  • Judgment and thinking (original thinking, judgment and decision-making, problem solving).
  • Performance skills (accuracy with detail, planning and organizing, efficiency).

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge and experience in Stamping & Welding processes a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, or Kaizen-Continuous Improvement.
