Quality Assurance Engineer Intern (Summer 2026) (Mt Vernon, IN, US)
About The Position
We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineering Intern to join our innovative team, where you will play a vital role in supporting Quality Assurance engineering projects and enhancing operational excellence. As an intern, you will assist the Quality Assurance Engineering Team with a range of responsibilities, including the development of inspection plans, continuous improvement projects and supplier quality oversight. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment while making meaningful contributions to our Quality processes.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled full time in a Manufacturing, Mechanical, or other engineering or technical discipline program.
- Must have enough credits to be at least at sophomore status
- Prior internship experience is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in fundamental computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong technical problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior internships and/or experience performing Quality related activities in a heavy manufacturing environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Improve ISO-9000 quality system procedures and work instructions.
- Assist with supplier quality/oversight activities.
- Support supplier quality and system audits.
- Aid inspection personnel resolving quality issues and non-conformities.
- Participate in projects that involve data analysis and trending of quality data.
- Participate in corrective action resolution processes.
