The Quality Assurance Engineer II is responsible for designing automated tests to validate the functionality of applications. Responsibilities include creating the initial test designs, writing the scripts, installing the automation testing protocols, and reporting the results. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a business or technical discipline
  • 8 + years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • 5+ years working in a SCRUM or Agile engineering environment using Azure Devops, JIRA, or similar tools
  • 5+ years automation test design and execution
  • 3+ years with Java coding, Selenium, Cucumber Gherkin, REST-assured
  • 3+ years RESTful API service or micro services using tools such as Postman, SoapUI Pro or Rest-assured
  • 3+ years SQL scripting experience.
  • 3+ years working with TestNG, NUnit, or Junit
  • 3+ years MSBuild build system experience such as Azure Pipelines, Jenkins or similar

  • Strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with JMeter or Microsoft performance and ad testing framework.
  • Experience with Python and C#
  • Experience with Cloud (MS Azure, AWS) testing
  • ISTQB Certified Testing Foundation Level (CTFL) Certificate
  • Ability to Travel: Up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, create, and support the automation framework that has been established for Reliance Standard Life Insurance Company
  • Create and maintain API and UI automation test scripts using tools such as Postman, selenium, cucumber, playwright
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Test Engineers, and Managers to develop effective strategies and test plans
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Design, implement, execute and analyze automated test results
  • Conduct automation code reviews and ensure adherence to QA standards
  • Evaluate product code according to specifications
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
  • Oversee all test events and manage multiple test events defining and staffing these test events with appropriate resources
  • Configure necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing
  • Manage the defect database
  • Lead in the implementation of build strategies and CI/CD using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins or similar.
  • Live and breathe the agile mindset and work in a fast-paced scrum environment
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends
  • Mentor and train others how to utilize test automation
