Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Quality Automation Engineer II that can do a 3-day hybrid approach onsite in our Farmington Hills office. The ideal candidate will also possess the following skill set. Summary Statement The Quality Automation Engineer II will take a proactive role in designing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to enhance the quality assurance process. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize testing requirements, develop and optimize automation tools, and troubleshoot complex testing issues. By leveraging advanced scripting languages and QA methodologies, this individual will contribute to delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions that align with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years of quality assurance experience.
  • Proficiency in using common automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Guidewire GT framework, TestComplete, Postman.
  • Experience working with development tools such as Azure DevOps, Atlassian, GitLab, Jira/Xray.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts using common scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or Java.
  • Familiarity with Agile Development Practices and Scrum methodologies.
  • Plan and coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), define test scope, and report SIT progress.
  • Conduct both manual and automated testing efficiently.
  • Experience working with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Contribute to designing, enhancing, and maintaining automation frameworks.
  • Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) or similar methodologies in test planning.
  • Configure and execute automated testing within build and release processes.
  • Perform performance and load testing and analyze results.
  • Implement data-driven testing approaches to improve test coverage.
  • Validate back-end operations by writing SQL queries for data validation.
  • Define and execute test automation strategies for applications and integrations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure test solutions align with project goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the insurance industry, or with insurance applications such as Guidewire, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and maintain test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
