About The Position

The Quality Assurance Coordinator at Héroux-Devtek provides proficient procedural and administrative support to department managers and engineers, ensuring documentation compliance with the Quality Management System in accordance with AS9100 Latest Revision. The role involves documentation control, training matrix management, internal audits, and generating reports within the ERP system. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining QMS documentation, reviewing closed work orders, managing process change requests, and coordinating the random drug screening program. The position requires adherence to company policies and health and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-5 years experience
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Impeccable accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Strong written, analytical, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of AS9100 and audit requirements and their applications
  • Knowledge of customer requirements
  • Experience in various electronic drawing file formats
  • Strong understanding of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat
  • Thorough knowledge of documentation and engineering terminology
  • Experience in managing records within an electronic document control system
  • Leadership and human relations skills in order to communicate and tactfully enforce policy and compliance specifications to staff, management, and customers

Responsibilities

  • Maintains/Updates QMS documentation and revision control for the electronic version of the QMS
  • Maintain all electronic filing of QMS documentation
  • Reviews all closed work orders for correct information, sign offs, technical data etc. and scans them to the electronic filing system
  • Ballon Engineering Prints for the purpose of First Article Inspections as needed
  • Manages process Change requests (PCR's)
  • Track, manage, maintain all AS9100 training for new and current employees
  • Coordinate the random drug screening program, which includes the required FAA report creation/submission
  • Provides expertise to all departments by recommending and implementing strategies and processes to enhance use of systems and controls
  • Leads the development and implementation of departmental best practices, strategies, policies/procedures and standards within the documents control area
  • Follow & maintain aerospace documentation protocols according to AS9100 requirements
  • Participate in internal audits
  • Responsible for understanding and communicating document handling techniques and for adherence to the document control procedures as well as company policies, procedures and health/safety requirements
