We have grown rapidly over the last few years and are seeking a Quality Assurance & Clinical Standards Manager with a passion for supporting individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders to help ensure excellence within our programs and organization as a whole. The Quality Assurance & Clinical Standards Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of a robust quality assurance framework across Olympic Health and Recovery Services (OHRS). This role ensures that clinical services consistently meet regulatory, contractual, and ethical standards, and drives continuous improvement in care delivery. While supporting staff development through targeted training, the primary focus is on monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing service quality and compliance. Salary Range: $110,976.32 - $143,027.73 annually based on education, experience, and parity within the organization. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm This position is classified as FLSA Exempt - Not Overtime Eligible. This position reports to the Clinical Director First review of applications will take place February 11th, 2026.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy).
  • Active Washington State Department of Health license as a LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
  • Experience with substance use disorders or certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP).
  • Approved supervisor status with completion of 15 hours of clinical supervision training.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in behavioral health services, including administrative or supervisory roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with clinical training programs and documentation standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (Knowledge Avatar preferred).
  • Must be able to pass required background checks as required by OHRS contractual requirements.
  • Current Washington State Driver's License, proof of insurance, and satisfactory drivers record required.
  • Expertise in conducting audits and analyzing service delivery data.
  • Deep understanding of Medicaid/Medicare regulations, WACs, and behavioral health contract requirements.
  • Ability to identify service gaps and lead corrective action planning.
  • Experience with performance improvement initiatives and outcome tracking.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation protocols and evidence-based practices.
  • Ability to develop and enforce standards across diverse clinical teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in presenting complex information clearly to varied audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners (e.g., universities, licensing boards).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record systems (Knowledge Avatar preferred).
  • Ability to manage QA documentation and training records digitally.

  • Service responsibilities require on-call availability at certain times, including availability during normal business hours and after hours/weekends/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance & Compliance Lead comprehensive chart audits and documentation reviews to ensure adherence to clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor service delivery for compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, WACs, and behavioral health contracts.
  • Identify systemic gaps in service quality and collaborate with leadership to implement corrective action plans.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics dashboards and prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support investigations and grievance resolutions related to client care and service delivery.
  • Stay current with evolving behavioral health regulations and integrate updates into QA protocols and clinical workflows.
  • Coordinate performance improvement initiatives and track outcomes to inform strategic planning.
  • Operate as OHRS Privacy Officer Clinical Standards & Documentation Establish and maintain clinical documentation standards aligned with evidence-based practices and regulatory expectations.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure consistency in care planning, outreach protocols, mandatory reporting, and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with managers to align clinical practices with performance indicators and contract deliverables.
  • Medical Staff Supervision & Department Oversight Provide direct supervision, support, and performance evaluations for medical staff including prescribers, nurses and medical assistants.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Medical Department to ensure efficient workflows, regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure medical staff adhere to standards of care, evidence-based practices, and documentation requirements Coordinate across clinical and medical teams to maintain integrated behavioral health and medical service alignment Support medical staff onboarding, training and ongoing professional development with an emphasis on quality, compliance and best practice.
  • Collaborate with prescribers and nursing to address service gaps and improve medical workflows.
  • Staff Development & Support Conduct targeted training sessions focused on quality improvement, documentation accuracy, and compliance.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing education efforts with an emphasis on QA-related competencies.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through audit results and staff feedback, refining content to address quality concerns.
  • Internship Program Oversight Manage partnerships with academic institutions to support bachelor’s and master’s level clinical internships.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to interns, ensuring alignment with professional standards and QA expectations.
  • Maintain compliance with intern supervision regulations and document evaluations and progress.
