About The Position

The Quality Assurance Chemist position at Astrix Technology involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the quality and integrity of chemical products. The role requires performing laboratory tests, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field; or equivalent experience in a laboratory setting.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to focus on tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Experience working with analytical equipment, including but not limited to, XRF, Flash point, Viscometers, Auto Titrators and FTIR.
• Background in ISO 9001-2015.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong preference towards chemical manufacturing/processing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine laboratory tests, such as sample preparation, chemical analysis, and quality control checks, following established protocols.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Record, analyze, and interpret data, while ensuring proper documentation and adherence to data integrity principles.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Assist with product investigations, CAPAs/CARs, and timely reporting and closure & communication of product nonconformances including issuance of corrective actions.
• Preparation and shipment of samples to customers to DOT and IATA requirements.
