About The Position

The Quality Assurance Associate at Kristen Distributing Company plays a key role in ensuring order accuracy and product integrity before delivery. This position is responsible for inspecting all completed customer orders to verify correct product selection and evaluate the structural quality of each pallet build. The Quality Assurance Associate helps reduce errors and product damage by identifying improperly built or incomplete orders and working directly with Order Selectors to correct any issues. This role is critical in maintaining a high standard of service and safety during warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, shipping, or inventory operations preferred
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems; experience with Encompass is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors and quality concerns
  • Knowledge of proper cart/pallet building and stacking techniques is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in providing direction to team members
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring frequent standing, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to follow instructions, complete tasks independently, and meet shift expectations
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work environment
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Responsibilities

  • Order Inspection: Review all built customer orders to confirm correct products were selected and quantities match the pick list
  • Order Evaluation: Inspect the physical build of each order to ensure pallets are stable, secure, and safe for transport
  • Accuracy Checks: Identify and report any missing products or overages before the order is loaded for delivery
  • Correction Oversight: Communicate with Order Selectors when an order needs to be rebuilt or corrected and ensure changes are completed
  • Damage Prevention: Evaluate stacking methods and wrapping to minimize the risk of product damage during transportation
  • Process Improvement: Help reinforce best practices for order building and pallet safety through ongoing communication and coaching
  • Documentation: Note order issues and correction trends to assist with training and performance improvement
  • Warehouse Communication: Coordinate with warehouse leads and supervisors to resolve issues related to order fulfillment
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized QA station and contribute to warehouse cleanliness efforts
  • Lifting & Handling: Safely lift and move products up to 50 lbs. while following proper handling techniques and safety protocols
  • Other Duties: Demonstrate flexibility and initiative by performing other job-related tasks as assigned to support warehouse operations
