About The Position

The Quality Assurance Associate role at Hartfiel Automation Inc. is focused on supporting the Quality Department in addressing internal and external quality issues while driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position involves developing and implementing standards for inspection, testing, and evaluation, leveraging knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering to ensure compliance with quality management systems, particularly ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience in quality assurance areas such as DOE, process control, systems performance, product evaluation, and automated testing is a plus.
• Ability to conduct internal and external quality audits to recognize improvement opportunities.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma and ability to apply statistical methods to analysis.
• Comprehension of technical documents.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Dodd-Frank Act and conflict minerals regulations.
• Knowledge of Lean practices such as 5S and Kaizen methods.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains a robust Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Establishes standards and addresses conflicts between quality compliance and business objectives.
• Collaborates with Sales Team, Suppliers, Engineering, and Operations to ensure product builds comply with approved processes and prints.
• Oversees internal and external quality audits, ensuring compliance and certification requirements are met.
• Manages non-conformance reports (NCRs), customer complaints, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leads root cause analysis and implements corrective actions for process-related concerns.
• Analyzes product failures and initiates corrective and preventive actions in response to customer complaints.
• Monitors supplier performance and conducts supplier audits as required.
• Develops and conducts training to build quality awareness among staff.
• Provides exceptional product and customer service to all internal and external customers.
