About The Position

The Quality Assurance Analyst</b> will support the South Carolina Department of Social Services (DSS) Child Support Services Applications Team by ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of statewide child support systems. This role focuses on validating system functionality, managing and executing test plans, analyzing defects, and supporting production issue resolution across multiple applications, including PACSS, SDNH, and the Client Portal. The QA Analyst will collaborate closely with development teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with approved designs and regulatory requirements. This is a long -term contract opportunity supporting mission -critical public sector applications that impact children and families across South Carolina. The position is hybrid and requires on -site presence in Columbia, SC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience preparing, documenting, and executing test criteria, test cases, test scripts, and test plans for IT systems projects.
  • 2 years of experience testing Child Support Enforcement System Development projects.
  • 2 years of experience with component, integration, security, performance, regression, and acceptance testing.
  • Current resident of South Carolina.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or EAD holder.
  • Subject to state and agency compliance requirements.
  • No relocation accepted.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Microsoft Test Manager.
  • Experience working in Agile or Waterfall development methodologies.
  • Experience with automated testing tools.
  • Experience using Selenium.

Responsibilities

  • Review design and business documentation to validate defect resolutions and new enhancements.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test scripts, test cases, and test plans, including regression testing.
  • Prepare and manage test data, including interface and batch data files.
  • Monitor and report on vendor testing activities and performance during all testing phases.
  • Analyze, document, and report defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
  • Perform root cause analysis for defects and production issues.
  • Analyze production data and system errors and provide findings to functional leads.
  • Participate in functional design sessions and incident review meetings as needed.
  • Track testing results and communicate status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
