The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for evaluating the first run of production, reviewing pd samples and auditing current production of David Yurman product. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years jewelry experience preferred
  • Experienced working as part of a Team
  • Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing and inspection processes
  • Attention to detail with ability to work on long-term and short-term projects, including the ability to inspect merchandise for corrective action purposes as required.
  • Strong organizational and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • GIA or similar gemology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initial production approval process including evaluation of merchandise, documentation, analysis, and communication of evaluation results.
  • Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for QA procedures to be used by DY Quality staff at any location.
  • Create Jewelry Inspection Guidelines.
  • Perform XRF Analysis on incoming Components and Finished Goods.
  • Perform scan of diamonds in First Production goods
  • Research and resolve special projects related to specific product and process defects.
  • Work closely with Repairs, Returns, Product Engineering, Product Development, Design, Manufacturing, and Inventory.
  • Audit in-process and finished good products at contractors and suppliers as needed.
  • Participate in the sample selection process and coordinate transition to the sample library.
  • Participate in PD Test product reviews, provide feedback and approvals as appropriate.
  • Assist in documentation of defects and communication with contractors and suppliers.
