About The Position

The Quality Assurance Analyst will support enterprise-level healthcare IT initiatives for a South Carolina state Medicaid agency. The role involves working closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to IT governance standards, quality processes, and delivery timelines. This position is ideal for candidates who thrive in complex, change-driven environments and have strong experience in healthcare systems, particularly Medicaid.

Requirements

  • 5+ years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios
  • 5+ years of experience building and executing test cases within test management systems
  • 3+ years deep knowledge of healthcare operations (Medicaid experience strongly preferred), business processes
  • 3+ years direct hands-on experience with formal test design tools

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years large enterprise or e-business systems experience.
  • 3+ years proficient in use of manual or automated testing tools such as Azure DevOps or Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
  • 3+ years prior experience working in a standard SDLC (waterfall methodology) & in an AGILE delivery
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance can substitute for formal education.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to identify and resolve application issues.
  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and testing processes based on business and technical requirements.
  • Maintain full SDLC traceability from requirements through test cases and execution.
  • Execute manual and automated testing, including negative and usability testing.
  • Design and support UI testing and regression testing activities.
  • Participate in defect triage, retesting, and issue resolution with development teams.
  • Create and maintain QA documentation, metrics, and status reports.
  • Ensure compliance with established QA governance standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections of deliverables.
  • Communicate test progress, risks, issues, and gaps clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
