About The Position

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and executing both automated and manual testing scripts to ensure the quality of software products. This role involves researching and documenting identified issues, defining test cases, and validating websites, application software, and backend databases. The analyst will assist with software testing and verification, provide metrics, and report project status to leadership and stakeholders while adapting to tight deadlines and evolving industry practices.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of progressive software testing experience in a QA environment, preferably within a financial services or mortgage-related industry.
• Ability to read and create SQL statements and reports as needed.
• Exposure to or hands-on experience with various test environments, approaches, needs, and tools.
• Previous experience within an agile or blended methodology environment (agile/waterfall) and hands-on experience with agile tools such as JIRA.
• Working knowledge of database and GUI testing, GUI and database design, data analysis, and production implementation.

Nice To Haves

• Software development experience with exposure to multiple software development methodologies.
• Basic understanding of the Financial Services or Mortgage industries, or willingness to learn.
• Previous experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, etc.
• Previous experience testing SSRS or BI reports.

• Stay current on evolving quality assurance and industry innovations and best practices.
