About The Position

The Quality Assurance Analyst Intern supports The Mutual Group's commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality technology solutions. You'll work directly with our QA and engineering teams to help ensure our systems and applications meet the needs of our members, partners, and internal teams — gaining real, hands-on experience in a professional software environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language (Java or Python preferred) for test automation or validation tasks
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and ability to write basic SQL queries
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
  • Hands-on experience or coursework involving JIRA, Selenium, or Postman
  • Familiarity with software testing methodologies (unit, integration, regression, UAT)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases and document results with accuracy
  • Identify, track, and retest defects using JIRA
  • Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, backend testing, and troubleshooting
  • Use Postman to test and validate REST APIs
  • Support test automation efforts using Selenium
  • Participate in regression, functional, and user-acceptance testing
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Maintain test documentation and contribute to continuous process improvement
