Quality Analyst Summary Provides support to production and manufacturing areas for quality questions, issues, and testing. Participates and may lead in external, internal and supplier audits. Maintains documentation on audit findings and is responsible for following up on corrective action plans and areas of nonconformance. Determines critical methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel. May work on items of unique complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities performed under very limited supervision include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Primary responsibilities are to analyze and improve overall quality management system and practices; track established quality metrics. Provide and/or oversee training on new or modified QMS procedures. Supports/facilitates process improvement in areas such as vendor assessment, contractual and regulatory compliance, and product manufacture. Participates in performing internal compliance audits to verify adherence to company policies, standards, and procedures. Support all third-party inspections and audits, as well as supplier audits. Document results of inspections. Identify and clearly communicate nonconformance’s to Management in a timely manner. Ensure corrective action is taken, documented, and nonconformance is rectified. Manage Quality Action Requests for timeliness of response, closure, and effectiveness of response. Performs queries of established databases to derive trend analysis data and provides feedback in support of product and system improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the quality system. Prepares written reports of findings obtained from analysis, including the results of internal audits. Prepares business reports, feasibility studies, and justification statements when a requirement. Participates in the Quality Planning process as focused in identifying and ensuring satisfaction of customer order requirements. Participates in the customer satisfaction assessment process. May assist in the generation of SOP's, GMP's, and Quality System procedures or changes thereto when required. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, work orders, etc., to determine quality status. QC Custom CEM Systems, and incoming instruments. - Manage nonconformance material review board for proper disposition and tracking. Review final test data and generate Certificates of Conformance. Assists in preparation for Teledyne's annual ISO 9001 recertification audit. Uses SPC principles in support of root cause analysis when assessing production anomalies, including variability studies. Responsible for in-process and final quality inspections, training, and receiving inspection. Document results of inspections. Identify and clearly communicate nonconformance’s to Management in a timely manner. Manage metrology program ensuring all test and calibration equipment are current with third party calibrations. Supports maintenance of the company's training and records retention programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 3-5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and statistics.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be knowledgeable in using software conducive to presenting analytical results, such as charts, graphs, and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 and/or AS9100
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen
  • Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)

Responsibilities
