About The Position

Aspire Rural Health System is hiring a Qualified Mental Health Provider to join their dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service to both patients and employees. The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) provides professional behavioral health services within a correctional healthcare setting to individuals experiencing mental health, emotional, or substance use challenges. This role includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions, crisis response, re-entry planning, and coordinating care to support patient stability, rehabilitation, and continuity of care while maintaining security standards within the facility.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
• Active Michigan licensure required (examples include LMSW, LPC, TLLP, LLP, or other qualifying credential).
• Previous experience working with individuals with mental illness required.
• Must meet Michigan standards for Qualified Mental Health Professional designation, as applicable.
• Must successfully pass required security background checks, TB screening, drug screening, and any other facility clearance requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Correctional behavioral health experience preferred.
