About The Position

Centurion is the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. This full-time Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) position is located at the Pontiac Correctional Center in Pontiac, IL. The QMHP is responsible for providing comprehensive mental health care to patients within a correctional setting. This includes conducting intake and assessments, performing crisis intervention, developing treatment plans, consulting with a multi-disciplinary team, managing cases, and delivering individual and group therapy. The QMHP will perform all duties as assigned by leadership and in accordance with Centurion policy and procedure, as well as IDOC Directives and Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

• Masters level degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field from an accredited educational institution
• Active Independent mental health professional license Illinois: LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC or LSW
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation
• Active CPR/AED certification
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of two years’ experience with direct care for individuals with mental illness preferred
