Requirements
- Certification as a Medication Aide
- Prior experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals
- Knowledge of Cerner or similar electronic health record systems
- Understanding of physiology and medication administration principles
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in memory care units
- Familiarity with acute care settings
- Proficiency in managing medical records and documentation
Responsibilities
- Administer medications following proper procedures and protocols
- Monitor and record vital signs of residents
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care for residents
- Provide compassionate care in memory care and acute care settings
