Requirements

  • Certification as a Medication Aide
  • Prior experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals
  • Knowledge of Cerner or similar electronic health record systems
  • Understanding of physiology and medication administration principles
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in memory care units
  • Familiarity with acute care settings
  • Proficiency in managing medical records and documentation

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications following proper procedures and protocols
  • Monitor and record vital signs of residents
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care for residents
  • Provide compassionate care in memory care and acute care settings
