In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality, environmental, health, and safety (QEHS) standards are consistently met across our operations. You’ll oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of QEHS systems and product compliance processes. Leading a local quality team, you’ll collaborate closely with cross functional partners in Sourcing, New Product Development (NPD), Manufacturing, and external suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Environmental Science, Mechanical/Materials Engineering, or another relevant technical field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, and at least 2 years of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience creating and facilitating safety training programs is a must.
  • Strong understanding of Quality System Management in both manufacturing and outsourced/partner production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards, environmental regulations, and global product compliance processes (including CE marking).
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures, processes, and training requirements
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and change management competencies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong root cause analysis and structured decision-making skills.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and systematic follow through with a quality focused mindset.
  • Proactive, curious, and committed approach to challenges.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in global, multicultural environments.
  • Solid leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software suite.
  • Understanding of production standards and procedures.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Contributes to a positive work culture that promotes a collaborative work environment
  • Must be comfortable with a fast paced, rapid change environment and be able to multi-task across projects with excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain QEHS systems ensuring compliance with internal standards and applicable legislation.
  • Ensure product quality and technical requirements are clearly defined, based on customer, regulatory, and internal requirements
  • Establish, manage, and communicate QEHS procedures, policies, and routine inspection schedules.
  • Oversee product compliance activities to ensure alignment with regulatory, legal, and Fiskars-specific requirements.
  • Ensure readiness of documentation, testing protocols, technical files, and CE marking where applicable.
  • Monitor adherence to safety procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Provide ongoing training and audits of safety procedures and policies.
  • Track safety training and creating training programs and procedures.
  • Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is properly stocked, maintained, and employees are trained on how/when it is to be used.
  • Work with management on ensuring a safety-first working environment.
  • Partner with management on injury and illness investigations, ensuring a safe return to work program after an injury or restricted duty, finding root causes of injury or unsafe conditions and providing solutions.
  • Create, update, and manage OSHA logs and Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
  • Ensure Material Safety Data Sheets / Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) are maintained and accessible.
  • Conduct facility and office inspections to identify environmental, health, and safety risks.
  • Maintain required documentation on environmental discharge and employee exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
