About The Position

Penn Color is seeking detail-oriented, quality-driven individuals to join their Quality Control team at the Hatfield, PA facility. Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • A safety-first mindset with consistent adherence to PPE and laboratory protocols
  • Ability to follow established procedures and testing methods
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic math skills for measuring, weighing, and verifying material quantities
  • High School Diploma required
  • 0–12 months of laboratory or manufacturing experience

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and test production samples using approved laboratory methods and procedures
  • Perform color evaluations and visual comparisons to established standards
  • Conduct testing including viscosity, spectrophotometry (UV/VIS), GC/FID, particle size analysis, Karl Fischer moisture analysis, and related wet chemistry techniques as trained
  • Accurately record and enter test results into designated systems and databases
  • Assist with calibration, cleaning, and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Communicate test findings clearly to Quality and Production teams
  • Support continuous improvement and team-based problem-solving initiatives
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant laboratory environment
