About The Position

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the quality standards established by the company and its customers. This role involves performing routine inspections, documenting results, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and working closely with production teams to maintain consistent product excellence.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret print lines, measurements, and product specifications.
• Working knowledge of Windows-based computers and office equipment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials weighing approximately 50–75 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Experience using Pi Tape, calipers, and micrometers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect output samples for all thickness, ovality, and related characteristics using established company standards.
• Verify that production processes follow required procedures, specifications, and quality guidelines.
• Record inspection results by completing detailed reports, documenting reworks and waste, and entering data into the quality database.
• Train production team members on quality control procedures to support consistent adherence to standards.
• Recommend improvements to enhance the quality control process and overall product reliability.
• Maintain measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and proper operation.
• Identify root causes of product defects, reworks, and nonconformance issues.
• Conduct testing to identify weaknesses or inconsistencies in pipe or related products.
• Utilize Windows-based computer systems and office equipment for reporting, documentation, and communication.
