About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner by getting along with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors, managers, and all other employees. Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all quality system procedures and requirements related to the position. Must adhere to all safety rules and company policies. Attendance/punctuality is consistently at work and on time. Knowledgeable in the areas of mold and tool making. Has responsibility for completing all quality checks and paperwork associated with job tasks. Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair faulty or damaged tooling. Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine tool specifications and tolerances. Keep presses operational. Perform preventative maintenance on molds. Restore damaged surfaces and re-machines to specifications. Reassemble, test, and adjust tooling. Perform slide changes. Check water flow on higher volume tooling. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (continued) Perform other repairs, corrections, and engineering changes to molds as requested by Production Tooling Manager. Teach and guide apprentices through all facets of mold making. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • Four to ten years related experience and/or training with Journeyman or Master craftsman certification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn new software as needed.
  • Ability to stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to sit and climb or balance.
  • Ability to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
