Plans, organizes, and directs all quality control, environmental, health and safety compliance for the operational and support activities associated with the contract. This is position is located in Midway Atoll. Work Model: Onsite/In-Office

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
1 or 2 years of field experience in Occupational Safety/Health, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental.
Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry and/or Construction standards, NFPA, DOT hazmat, and applicable environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

Responsible for overall development, implementation, and maintenance of applicable Quality Control, Health & Safety, and Environmental plans and procedures in accordance with contract requirements and company policy.
Prepare incident reports to maintain accurate records of all work-related mishaps per OSHA standards.
Implement a site-specific safety plan, including the Emergency Action Plan, and maintain compliance with agency SPCC and Facility Response Plans in accordance with the provisions of the contract and company policy.
Manage PPE program by procurement of proper equipment and employee training.
Develop and implement a system to manage hazardous materials and SDS in accordance with OSHA Hazard Communication standards.
Manage all applicable OSHA programs including PPE, respiratory protection, fire prevention, fall protection, machine and tool safety, and electrical safety.
Coordinate and execute employee safety training as required.
Responsible for coordinating employee medical monitoring with healthcare professional in accordance with company policy and industry standards.
Perform various environmental/ industrial hygiene tests and measurements by utilizing instruments and laboratory sampling techniques.
Monitor environmental compliance programs in accordance with contract requirements.
Manage quality control database by updating inspection requirements, collecting data, generating reports, etc. in accordance with contract requirements.
Coordinate with agency representatives and company management in correcting safety compliance deficiencies.
Develop and maintain a variety of records and technical reports in accordance with regulatory standards and contract requirements.
Complete shipping manifest for cargo, hazwaste, fuel residue, and empty containers.
Other related duties as assigned.
