Plans, organizes, and directs all quality control, environmental, health and safety compliance for the operational and support activities associated with the contract. This is position is located in Midway Atoll. Work Model: Onsite/In-Office

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • 1 or 2 years of field experience in Occupational Safety/Health, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry and/or Construction standards, NFPA, DOT hazmat, and applicable environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall development, implementation, and maintenance of applicable Quality Control, Health & Safety, and Environmental plans and procedures in accordance with contract requirements and company policy.
  • Prepare incident reports to maintain accurate records of all work-related mishaps per OSHA standards.
  • Implement a site-specific safety plan, including the Emergency Action Plan, and maintain compliance with agency SPCC and Facility Response Plans in accordance with the provisions of the contract and company policy.
  • Manage PPE program by procurement of proper equipment and employee training.
  • Develop and implement a system to manage hazardous materials and SDS in accordance with OSHA Hazard Communication standards.
  • Manage all applicable OSHA programs including PPE, respiratory protection, fire prevention, fall protection, machine and tool safety, and electrical safety.
  • Coordinate and execute employee safety training as required.
  • Responsible for coordinating employee medical monitoring with healthcare professional in accordance with company policy and industry standards.
  • Perform various environmental/ industrial hygiene tests and measurements by utilizing instruments and laboratory sampling techniques.
  • Monitor environmental compliance programs in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Manage quality control database by updating inspection requirements, collecting data, generating reports, etc. in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Coordinate with agency representatives and company management in correcting safety compliance deficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain a variety of records and technical reports in accordance with regulatory standards and contract requirements.
  • Complete shipping manifest for cargo, hazwaste, fuel residue, and empty containers.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
