Requirements

• Background in Engineering, Science, Safety, or Environmental disciplines
• 3+ years of progressive experience leading safety and/or environmental management systems
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively in a plant setting

Nice To Haves

• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and advance EHS strategy by providing clear, consistent direction that supports both people and business outcomes.
• Be a visible safety leader with a strong shop‑floor presence—recognized as the go‑to expert for safety, health, and environmental mentorship.
• Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and leadership team to align EHS initiatives with site priorities and long‑term objectives.
• Proactively identify workplace hazards and collaborate with plant teams to eliminate or mitigate risk.
• Champion a ZERO HARM culture, driving safe behaviors and practices across all levels of the organization.
• Monitor and interpret EHS regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA), assess potential impacts, and translate requirements into practical, effective solutions.
• Own environmental programs related to waste, water, and energy, supporting both regulatory compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Engage employees at all levels to identify, develop, and implement continuous EHS improvements.
• Manage EHS documentation, permits, and vendor relationships, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation cases, partnering with HR and Legal to drive appropriate outcomes.
• Lead incident reporting and investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action follow‑up.
• Facilitate EHS training programs, ensuring all regulatory and company requirements are met and well understood.
