About The Position

Perform in-process sample testing, classification/disposition testing of finished product, and non-routine exploratory analyses through physical testing and instrumental analysis, utilizing the following processes/instrumentation: High Intensity Blending HDT/Vica GC FTIR XRF Other typical laboratory instrumentation related to polymer-specific testing (e.g. Viscometer, Particle Size Analyzer, analytical balances, pH) Assists in performing analytical method validation/qualifications Perform calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory instrumentation deemed QC critical Maintain QC Laboratory systems in alignment with ISO compliance Assure proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste generated while performing laboratory activities Complete all required personnel training, qualification assessments, and safety procedure sign-offs Sample and data management via computerized systems (i.e. LIMS, instrumentation software suites, etc.) Track standards and solvents, disposable supplies/consumables, and laboratory equipment Ensure timely sample testing turnaround Issue safe work permits for completion of work Perform investigations into laboratory deviations and OOSs Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment

  • Utilize processes/instrumentation: High Intensity Blending HDT/Vica GC FTIR XRF Other typical laboratory instrumentation related to polymer-specific testing (e.g. Viscometer, Particle Size Analyzer, analytical balances, pH)
  • Assist in performing analytical method validation/qualifications
  • Perform calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory instrumentation deemed QC critical
  • Maintain QC Laboratory systems in alignment with ISO compliance
  • Assure proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste generated while performing laboratory activities
  • Complete all required personnel training, qualification assessments, and safety procedure sign-offs
  • Sample and data management via computerized systems (i.e. LIMS, instrumentation software suites, etc.)
  • Track standards and solvents, disposable supplies/consumables, and laboratory equipment
  • Ensure timely sample testing turnaround
  • Issue safe work permits for completion of work
