About The Position
EFTEC North America is seeking a motivated Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Intern to support the development of a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrometer library. This role is critical in enhancing EFTEC’s chemical analysis capabilities, improving problem-solving efficiency, and supporting customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Basic understanding of analytical chemistry principles
- Interest or exposure to spectroscopy (FTIR preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Nice To Haves
- Prior laboratory or internship experience
- Familiarity with FTIR instrumentation or analytical techniques
- Experience with data analysis and documentation
Responsibilities
- Develop and organize a comprehensive FTIR spectral library of known materials
- Conduct FTIR analysis and ensure accurate data collection and documentation
- Assist in identifying and cataloging chemical substances
- Support quality control laboratory testing as needed
- Perform basic QC lab test methods
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures
- Collaborate with QC and R&D teams
