About The Position

Rubbercraft is seeking a Quality Inspector 1 (2nd Shift) to support inspection activities and ensure product quality in accordance with company and customer requirements. This is an entry-level role responsible for performing basic inspection tasks while developing foundational knowledge of inspection methods, blueprint reading, and measurement tools. This position will support the Quality Management System and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and positive customer experiences. Our team designs and manufactures precision-molded seals, gaskets, and custom rubber components that perform in the most demanding environments. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or inspection environment preferred
  • Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications (or willingness to learn)
  • Familiarity with standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) preferred
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and operate inspection equipment
  • This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment is contingent upon the applicant being a “U.S. person” as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees, as required by U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic receiving, in-process, and final inspections under supervision
  • Inspect materials and components using standard inspection tools and equipment
  • Read and follow blueprints, specifications, and inspection instructions with guidance
  • Assist in reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Support First Article Inspection activities as needed
  • Accurately record inspection results and maintain documentation
  • Identify and report nonconforming materials to appropriate personnel
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Support team members and cross-functional partners to meet quality and production goals
