About The Position

Seeking a hands-on UAT Tester with strong manual testing experience, ideally within payments. This role focuses on validating applications that support international payments, cross-currency transactions, and global branch operations. The ideal candidate is execution-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with business and technology teams to ensure high-quality releases. This is not a coordination or oversight role—this team needs someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, writing test scripts, executing test cases, and driving defects to closure.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in user acceptance testing.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to non-technical executives.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant enterprise experience.
  • 3–7+ years of experience in UAT or manual QA testing.
  • Strong experience testing payments, ideally including international payments or cross-currency workflows.
  • Proven ability to write detailed test scripts and execute manual test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA for test management and defect tracking.
  • Familiarity with QA processes, test methodologies, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business rules and translate them into test scenarios.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to ask questions, clarify requirements, and escalate issues.
  • Must be execution-focused—comfortable doing the testing work rather than leading or delegating.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in large enterprise or financial environments (not required but helpful).
  • Exposure to payment rails, SWIFT, cross-border transactions, or settlement processes.
  • Understanding of UAT best practices in regulated industries.

Responsibilities

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for applications supporting international payments, single-currency and cross-currency transactions, and global branch operations.
  • Develop, document, and execute manual test scripts based on business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Validate end-to-end payment workflows, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and system integrity.
  • Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA, collaborating with product owners, developers, and business SMEs.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, test planning sessions, and UAT readiness checkpoints.
  • Ensure test coverage aligns with business scenarios, regulatory expectations, and operational needs.
  • Provide clear, concise reporting on test progress, defects, and readiness for production deployment.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment where hands-on testing and strong follow-through are essential.
