QA Tester (Remote)
About The Position
Scope of Work: Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver. Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools. Perform regression testing to verify defect fixes and ensure no new issues are introduced. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues. Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments as needed. Provide clear and concise test reports and status updates.
Requirements
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) & Testing Life Cycle (STLC): Strong understanding of Agile development methodology and testing phases.
- Selenium WebDriver: Strong hands-on experience in developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
- Test Case Design & Execution: Ability to write detailed, clear, and comprehensive test cases; execute test cases effectively.
- Basic understanding of automation testing concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium). Ability to write testing scripts using Selenium.
- Defect Tracking & Reporting: Proficiency in defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or equivalent; ability to document defects with clear reproduction steps, severity, and priority.
- Attention to Detail: Keen observational skills to identify inconsistencies and defects.
- Basic Database Knowledge: Ability to write and execute simple SQL queries to validate backend data.
- Basic Web Technology Understanding: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics, and browser developer tools.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Analytical & Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze requirements and design appropriate test scenarios.
- Test Environment Setup: Experience or ability to coordinate test environment setup and configuration.
- Test Management Tools Experience.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of performance and security testing fundamentals.
- Experience in mobile application testing.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- S100D specification knowledge
- Azure DevOps familiarity
- Selenium Experience with WebDriver for browser automation
- CI/CD & DevOps
