About The Position

Job Description: Job Title: QA Tester (XML/Middleware) Location: Minneapolis MN Duration: 6 plus Months Looking for only local candidates in Minneapolis and W2 candidates only. Required skills 5+ years IT quality assurance and systems/application testing experience. Perform functional testing of web services for a middleware application. Minimum 5 years testing experience required - Web services middleware testing using Soap XML messages experience required. Strong experience in XML/Middleware and technical background. Demonstrable skills with Quality Center/ALM Experience creating test plans, test cases and other test artifacts required Black box testing required Ability to read log files required - SoapUI Pro/ReadyAPI (or comparable tool) Preferred Skills Unix/Linux/technical experience preferred Experience testing banking systems desired Hogan experience a plus Good analytical skills Good writing skills Good communication skills Independent worker, self-starter Ability to work well in high paced environment Ability to shift priorities quickly and easily Experience working in a distributed development team desired Responsibilities: Creates, prepares and implements systems quality assurance reviews for numerous applications. Responsible for primary development of testing strategies. Consults with users, providing advice and direction. Performs more complex analysis of business requirements and system specifications. May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project. Creates test plans and scripts for own projects. May lead and review test plans written by others. Performs moderately complex to complex test data conditioning, regression testing and testing validation. Provides specific guidance on defects to developers. Gives direction to less experienced analysts. Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects. Requirements

• 5+ years IT quality assurance and systems/application testing experience.
• Perform functional testing of web services for a middleware application.
