About The Position

Monitor the implementation of food safety and quality procedures on the floor, report deficiencies and correct them. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Problem solving skills
• Able to work in an independent environment
• Experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred
• Reliable
• Attention to detail
• Able to Monday through Friday, and occasional weekends when needed
• Comfortable working in a cold environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work first shift 04:30 am - 14:30 and second shift from 14:30 - 00:30, occasionally overtime the last day of the week

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor SOP's, SSOP's, and GMP compliance of associates
• Perform HACCP procedures to comply with federal regulations
• Work with USDA and present records to them at the agency's request
• Review records to ensure accuracy and be held accountable to their accuracy
• Aid QA supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations
• Work closely with production associates in monitoring meat product for specifications, and correcting specification deficiencies
• Work closely with production associates in monitoring product packaging and labeling, and correcting any deficiencies
• Audit inbound product and fill out reports with findings
• Print inserts or labels, being held accountable for label information accuracy
• Assist in other duties as needed
