About The Position

Spring Glen Fresh Foods is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician on first shift. This position will be responsible for monitoring all aspects of manufacturing to carry out the specific job duties: Performing accurate analytical tests at specific intervals to assess the quality of raw materials, products and adequacy of packaging. Identifies and communicates any problems. Closely monitors products during the times corrective steps are being taken, retesting the product to determine its acceptability. Placing products on hold which are substandard and require management to determine their disposition. Checks product to be reworked is handled properly and or disposed of if necessary. Monitor sanitation and product hazards present on the production lines and in the storage areas. Complete and maintain accurate reports as required. Helps obtain sales samples and their subsequent shipment. This position requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language and have basic math skills in order to satisfactorily complete job requirements. Requirements

  • 1-year of experience in food processing and/or quality assurance
  • Sanitation experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic math skills essential
  • Good computer skills – preferably using Microsoft programs
  • Ability to administer and delegate work as set by the QA Manager
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision
  • This position requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language and have basic math skills in order to satisfactorily complete job requirements.
